Enjoy the simple things.

In the hustle and bustle of our lives today, it can be easy to take for granted the simple pleasures of our lives.  I see my humans get themselves into a right state sometimes.  They worry about all sorts of complicated things that I don’t quite understand.  What they both need to do is just enjoy the simple things.  My suggestion is to go to the park, feel the fresh breeze rush past your ears, sniff all the smells, see the sights and chase a ball.  Think about it, what stress is there in just chasing one little ball.  I like balls, all sorts of all balls.  There are your classic tennis balls, rubber balls, plastic balls, squeaky balls, hard balls, soft balls… I could go on all day.  There’s nothing better than the fresh air, stretching you legs, wagging your tail and chewing on a nice, slobbery, tennis ball.  It’s the best stress release there is, and it always brings a smile to my humans’ face.  They should enjoy the experience more often.

Woof, woof, Furry

I’ve been on Holidays.

I’m a very fortunate Alsatian indeed.  My human female insisted I needed to come along on holidays to the sunny Gold Coast, Queensland.  She argued that I couldn’t be trusted with the pet sitter or at the kennels.  (I can’t help it if little, white dogs always give me the evil eye.)

We found a pet friendly holiday home and had the best time.  I loved travelling in the car, there were many exciting smells during the whole 900km drive to Queensland from Sydney.  We went to the beach and my humans threw an assortment of toys, balls and sticks at the beach for me.

I got plenty of sun, sand and surf in my fur.  Shame to go home to the rain really.

Sundays are tops.

I love Sundays.  Sundays are about sleeping in, having breakfast in bed and going for a nice drive.  I read on a rubber fortune ball that, “Life passes you by very quickly, so you have to stick your head out the window and enjoy it.”  Today I went for a drive down to the river, one of my favourite places.  My humans get great enjoyment from throwing various objects into the river.  I get even greater enjoyment jumping in and bringing them back!

"Ready, set.......GO!"

"Ready, set.......GO!"

"Take a big breath."

"Take a big breath."

"Here it is. Are you going to throw it in again?"

"Here it is. Are you going to throw it in again?"

Lots of tail wags, Furry.
