Fluffy & Knuckles ? ?

Where does the name Fluffy & Knuckles come from ?

Max

Max

Max was a long-haired German Shepherd. Max was the beloved companion of Jo's husband. Max loved attention, meeting new friends and protecting his prized station wagon. Max's nickname was "Fluffy".

Zac

Zac

Zac was a Golden Labrador. Zac was Jo's companion for many years. He earnt his nickname "Knuckles" through his boisterousness, joie de vivre and his act first, ask questions later way of doing things. Like a Labrador he could be challenging at times, but his love of people and friendly nature earnt him friends and admirers everywhere he went. Zac loved water, and would have happily spent hours in the bath if he had been allowed.

Jo

Jo

Jo is the founder, owner, operator and principal stylist at Fluffy and Knuckles.
Jo found she had a love of dogs during a successful career as a law enforcement dog handler. When it came time to "hang up" her lead, Jo found that she still wanted to work with dogs. Jo had been grooming dogs for many years in her previous occupation. She decided to complete some formal training, and attended a grooming course conducted by Groomers Friend. After completing her training Jo opened up her own dog salon at home. The home salon quickly outgrew the garage and Fluffy and Knuckles moved to its current location in 2007. Since moving it has gone from strength to strength and at times struggles to keep up with demand from discerning dogs in the Western Sydney Area.

Cathy

Cathy

Jo's mum Cathy helped to establish the salon with Jo. Cathy runs the "front of house", greeting customers and taking bookings. Cathy is also a talented seamstress and has made all of the dog clothing that you see when you come into the salon. Cathy trained as a seamstress with Fletcher Jones, one of the last iconic clothing manufacturers in Australia, nearly 40 years ago. Cathy's talent is on display every day in the salon with the range and style of her creations. Cathy has made dog clothing from wedding dresses to tuxedos, from fancy dress to raincoats and even outfits that match their owners uniforms for that unique photo opportunity. If you want to dress your puppy up as Santa for Christmas make sure you get in early as Cathy's fantastic Santa costumes sell out in no time.

Bec

Bec has been with Fluffy & Knuckles for over 11 years. Bec is the salon's resident "dog whisperer". Only Bec and the puppies she talks to know exactly what she says to them, but within a few minutes they are putty in her hands, even the toughest customer sits on Becs table staring into her eyes, hanging off her every word.
Bec has learnt the skills of the trade, working her way up from dog washer to the talented Pet Stylist she is today.
